Dr Shireen Furtado

Dr Shireen Furtado is one of the most celebrated Dermatologists in Bangalore, India. She has been practising in the field from past 12 years and currently providing skin treatment and services at Namma Clinic and Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore. She completed her MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2005.

Then, she studied MD in Dermatology from Father Muller Medical College, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Mangalore, in 2009. Post that, she did a Fellowship in Dermatosurgery FRGUHS from St Johns Medical College, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2010.

She has worked as a Senior Resident at the Department of Dermatology at St Johns Medical College, Bangalore, India. In addition, she was doing an Observership in Medical Dermatology at Stanford Hospital Clinics, Palo Alto, California. She has also worked as a trainee in Certified Aesthetic and Procedural Dermatology at Empire Medical Training, New York, USA.

Dr Sunil V Furtado is a senior consultant neurosurgeon in Bangalore with over 17 years experience in Neurosurgery. After MBBS and specialising in General surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, he secured the MCh degree in Neurosurgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum ; an Institute of national importance under the Central

Government ministry of Science and Technology. He worked for 9 years at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute for Higher Medical Sciences at Whitefield, Bangalore. During his stay, he was actively in-volved with neuro-oncology projects with the Indian Institute of Science and CSIR and focused on brain tumours and cerebrovascular disorders. He then completed two fellowships in the United States of America: Cerebrovascular & Skull Base Surgery at Stanford University, California & Endovascular Neurosurgery at

The Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, New York. These fellowships provided a multimodality approach to managing complex head, neck and brain tumours, integrating skills of operative neurosurgery and radio-interventional neurosurgery.

He is a member of various national and international neurosurgical societies , holds academic posts and has more than 80 indexed publications and book chapters to his credit.

His areas of interest are Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery (Aneurysms, AVM), Stroke Intervention, Neuro-oncology-brain and spine tumour surgery, Skull base surgery.
